<Not One, Not Two> (2025), is an inflatable latex sculpture that visualizes breath and cellular interaction. The performance incorporates plant-inspired wearable forms that morph over time, responding to the performer’s movement and highlighting the shifting boundaries between the body and the object.

Sungyeon’s practice draws from plant anatomy, cellular biology, and somatic methodologies, visualizing resonances between humans and nonhuman entities, particularly plants. 

Sungyeon redefines sculpture and performance as living, responsive systems, transforming art into a conduit for shared perception, collective care, and embodied belonging. Her work begins in the space between cells, between skins, between people and grows outward
